Osca is built by Vinvu Software. We designed the app so you can use it without an account and keep control of your family's information.
No personal information required
You do not need to provide a name, email address, password, or other personal contact details to use Osca. Any family information you choose to enter is used to provide the app's features.
No analytics or advertising tracking
Osca does not use analytics or advertising trackers. We do not track your activity for advertising or sell your information. This privacy-policy page does not use cookies or tracking scripts.
Your content stays on your device
When syncing is not enabled, Osca stores your app content locally on your device and does not send it to our servers.
Optional, end-to-end encrypted syncing
If you enable syncing, your content leaves your device to be shared with the devices you authorize. Family content and photos are end-to-end encrypted before they are sent. Vinvu Software cannot read this content and does not have access to the keys needed to decrypt it.
The sync service stores encrypted content and the technical metadata needed to operate syncing, such as device identifiers, public keys, and synchronization timestamps. This metadata is not all end-to-end encrypted. Hosting systems may also process operational logs, including IP addresses and request timing, to operate and protect the service.
Storage and deletion
Encrypted sync history is retained until the family is deleted so that devices can catch up after being offline. Deleting individual records does not immediately remove their encrypted history from the sync service.
Deleting a family removes its live server records and attachments. Older backup copies expire under our hosting provider's six-day backup retention period. Deletion cannot remove copies already stored on someone else's device.
